Auditing and Enforcement ensures that
the implementation plan is actually meeting HIPAA
requirements and generating the reports from the
auditing requirement of Security Compliance. HIPAA
compliance is an on-going process of auditing and
enforcement of standards.

Enforcement of standards will have to include sanctions
against non-compliancy within the organization or
other entities involved. This may include other
covered entities and business associates. The output
out of Auditing and Enforcement is lessons learned
to make the next iteration even better. It is an
on-going process that has continuous iterations
to get the organization compliant and to stay compliant
with HIPAA regulations.
